We are looking for a new enthusiastic colleague to join our growing team in a position of Estimating Engineer.

Job summary

Estimating Engineer will be responsible for all elements of Cost Estimating for assigned projects within the Rail Baltica Global Project. The candidate will be a self-starter with a high level of energy and motivation and have proficiency in the use of cost estimating techniques, databases, spreadsheets, word processing and Cost Estimating software, and have an aptitude to become familiar with RBR cost control / reporting tools. Working knowledge of the cost estimating work processes for Engineering and Construction work on infrastructure projects is essential as are skills related to identifying, analysing, and solving problems.

We will entrust you to

• Assemble estimate data to develop project total budget CAPEX in accordance with project standards and procedures at Value Engineering, Master Design and Detailed Design stages;
• Able to review detailed “bottom-up” cost estimate for scope completeness and validation of the unit rates used;
• Develop and provide appropriate detail cost estimate presentations  to enable effective management of the specific project for presentation to Senior Management.

To succeed, you should have

• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction or equivalent;
• More than 3 years working with cost estimating processes for the infrastructure industry;
• A beginning level of understanding of Project Controls general technical skills;
• Resilient to coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work under pressure.
